Using NDVI

NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) is commonly used to assess vegetation density. The Color Infared map on the left was created to represent vegetation as a red band. The map on the right uses the differences in spectral signatures of water, vegetation, and buildings to create symbology that highlights neighborhoods with higher vegetation and swimming pool densities.
