Mapping Vulnerable Areas

Using climate modeling data from NOAA, I mapped out three potential scenarios for sea level rise in Palm Coast, Florida. The areas represented in red face the highest risk of flooding by mid-century when we are most likely to see a 2 ft rise in sea level. The areas represented in orange which would mean a 4ft rise in sea level are expected by the end of the century. Finally, the areas represented in yellow, which show an 8ft rise in sea level are based on worst case scenario models for the end of the century and are less vulnerable than those areas in red and orange.
